It has been exactly 13 days since Devin has used his pacifier to fall asleep at night! AND, last night he didn't even ask for it. Now for my second new years resolution...potty training. That is going be much more difficult. We were making progress back in September, but then I got very frustrated and we have taken a break for a while. His 3rd B-day is coming fast, it would be nice to have him trained by then...

Potty training is not fun. Hunter turned 3 in March and he wasn't really ready. We did have him poop trained, but the pee thing didn't work. So Hunter started preschool in Sept in pull ups (even though he wasn't supposed to) and I think in October I just put him in underwear and he hasn't had an accident, then in Novermber I forgot to put a pull up on him at night and he woke up the next morning dry and no accidents since. So, don't let the age bother you! When he is ready it will happen!
Ian had hand, foot, and mouth disease when he was 18 mos and his paci hurt him with all the sores in his mouth. When he recovered, we just reminded him that it hurt his mouth. So- go get him infected.
Potty training is such a huge issue. I think it totally depends on each kid and when they are "ready". Ian still won't poop in the potty. I'm telling him that when he's 3 he won't be able to use a pull-up anymore for that... Good luck!
