Surgery Tomorrow

I have been extremely frustrated with Logan's congestion, sinus infections and ear infections lately and the fact that his ENT didn't feel it was necessary to put his tubes back in or deal with the rest of it. So this morning, I took Logan back to the ENT he used to go to (before we had some insurance changes). His old ENT, who I always liked much better, decided we should put his tubes back in and take out his adenoids tomorrow!! After two rounds of antibiotics in the last 20 days and no signs of the end of his sinus infection, I was so relieved to take a step in the right direction. This morning, his ENT also found that his ears are FULL of fluid! I am hoping that after tomorrow, Logan can finally get some relief!! Poor boy hasn't been able to breath through his nose is so long.

Ella had her tonsils and adnoids taken out in March of 2009. Before then every single cold she got turned into a sinus infection. Since then she has not been on antibiotics for anything!!! It was a great move. As for tubes, one of hers just fell out so we are waiting for the hole to heal itself and then I'm sure we will be onto set #3! Good luck tomorrow, he will do great!!

Poor baby! Addy had tonsils and adenoids out in April of 08. It was a hard recovery for her but definitely worth it! Good luck Logan!

I'll be curious to see how this goes for him...keep us updated. Braska got her tubes a few weeks ago, but we had to wait on adenoids for a bit. Hoping to do them later in the summer... praying that things go smoothly!

If it was anything like Wyatt's adenoidectomy-it was like the surgery never even happened-he was eating and playing just a few short hours later!! And he has had little or no green sinus drainage since -that has been 18 months of wellness!

we are firm believers of chiropractors. Mayson has only had one ear infection and i contribute that to chiropractic care. She has had 3 sinus infections so i know what you are going through with that. our doc put mayson on singulair and presto!! no more sinus infections. we have also started her on probiotics. i sure hope he gets some relief soon and his surgery goes well!! good luck!
