Random Pictures
I have to admit that I haven't been taking many pictures of my kids lately...but I searched my camera for some of them and I found a few to share. I'm scrambling to emptying my camera card to make room for "first day of school" pictures tomorrow. I'm nervous and I think Devin is too....for his first day of school that is. I don't think I will be sleeping much tonight. He has already told me that he is scared to go and he really hasn't been on his own before. I will be counting the minutes to when the bus brings him back.
Logan and Aubrey loved to go for walks. They keep their hands to themselves most of the time.

I love to meet new bloggers!
I love to meet new parents who have a child with DS. Especially a new baby!! Every now and then I get an email from one of these new parents telling me how they have just found my blog. We then get to share about our kiddos and the best friendships and lines of support develop.
Tonight, I got an email from Katie. She has the most adorable son Jack! You can visit her blog and see for yourself how amazing little Jack is HERE. I always wish I could meet these little ones and their parents face to face. I guess you never know! I have been so lucky to meet a few of you who live across the country from me already!

Updates
I promise I will be blogging more after this week is over. We are going through so many changes around here making it so hard to find time to blog.
Logan has been doing fantastic! He is talking more and more and he picks up signs as fast as I show them to him. He is also quite the comedian! I plan to get some video and pictures of him soon. His walking is improving each day. He gets his orthodics checked today, but I think they are doing wonders for his walking. His feet are closer together every day.
One of the things keeping me busy is planning for the 1st annual Fox Cities Buddy Walk. A lot will go into this event, but I know that it will be well worth it the day of the event! The support so far has been amazing!!
My photography has also kept me very busy, but I have a little break now, so hopefully I will get caught up with everything else.
We are making some improvements to our home and the dust and mess is driving me crazy!! But when it is done, I hope to be more organized than I ever was!
Devin starts school next week. I have no idea how that will go, but hopefully he will adjust quickly and find that he loves to go.
Aubrey turns 1 year in just over a month, so I have begun to plan for that. I can't believe how fast she is changing. She is nearly as big as Logan now! I can't even enter a store now without being asked if they are twins.
Well, I'm off to Logan's appointment!

NDSC Convention in ORLANDO!!!
I think we need to have a big blogger union in Orlando next summer!!! I believe it is July 16-18. I am so excited about the location!! We went last year when it was in Boston and I LOVED that city! Watch the NDSC website for details and book your room as soon as they are available. We booked our room for Boston about 9 months ahead of time and got one of the last rooms at the convention sight.

Logan in Times Square Video!
A photo of Logan was chosen for the 2009 NDSS Times Square Video! The video will run in Times Square in the heart of New York City on the MTV plasma screen on Saturday, September 26, 2009. I submitted a photo of Logan playing his harmonica (thanks to Jennie's suggestion!! Thanks Jennie!) and it was chosen! Each year, the New York City Buddy Walk has a Times Square Video presentation as part of their walk. You will be able to view the entire video on ndss.org later this fall. Now I wish we could go to New York to see it in person!! Congrats Logan!!!

Big Life Changes
Wow...it has been a while since I posted! Yikes! Life around here is changing fast and we have been in a sort of transition. Big life changes...but hopefully for the better. My husband made the difficult decision to resign from his career to pursue another. He will no longer teach and will now be working from home as a small business owner. This decision has, of course, been accompanied by many other big decisions that have made things a bit stressful, but I know everything will settle down eventually. Overall, I think that Dale will be happier and I will have more support at home and the freedom to come and go during the day. I think I couldn't ask for a better situation...as long as I don't get sick of seeing Dale everyday, all day! (Just kidding honey! )
I also have been meaning to post some video of Logan lately...just haven't found the time yet. He has many new words and signs!! So exciting!
