Times Square Video is Online!

In September, Logan appeared in the 2009 Times Square Video at the NYC Buddy Walk. The entire video is now available to view online. Click Here to watch! Logan is at 10:48. (which is about 1/2 way through) I love how the video shows how their abilities are more important than their disability.

Buddy Walk

I have officially begun to plan the 1st Annual Fox Cities Buddy Walk! The date will be October 2nd, 2010. (To all my local friends and family: Team Logan will still be walking in the Aspiro Buddy Walk this September, and we will also be walking in the DSAW Walk in Milwaukee this year. I will be sending info by mail soon!)
I am excited, but nervous to take on the organization of a new walk! So far, I have been blessed with wonderful people to work with in the process. If anyone has experience in putting on a walk or just has some advice, I would love to hear from you! If you live in the area, I hope that you can be a part of our walk! I am looking forward to involving the Fox Cities in promoting acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome and to raise funds for our local programs.

Thank you to all of our friends and family who walked with us. We had over 25 people on Team Logan!! It means so much to me that you all want to promote Down syndrome awareness and support us in raising Logan as an important member of our family. Your support helps me stay positive in my ability to give Logan the best chance to be successful in life. I couldn't do this with out all of you. Thank you.

Buddy Walk 2008

Our area Buddy Walk will take place on Sept. 6th. Last year, Team Logan was the largest team at the walk with over 20 walkers!! We were so grateful for all of the support from our family and friends and hope that they can come out and walk again this year! This year, our goal is to raise money for the Down Syndrome Family Network. This is a local support group that we get together with and where we can get up to date information on services and programs for Logan. This group also supplies new parent packages to local hospitals with up to date and accurate information on Down syndrome when parents receive a prenatal or postnatal diagnosis. We are so thankful to have found this wonderful group for support. It has made the last year a lot easier for us as far as feeling comfortable with Logan's diagnosis and dealing with the challenges that we have faced. It has also been great to meet other babies, children and adults with Down syndrome. The future is so bright when you can see how happy and successful these other kids and adults are.
